Robert attended San Diego State University where he majored in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. In 2001, Robert interned with the City of San Diego at their water department’s Public Information office on a part time basis and he also worked evenings in the transcript production department of a San Diego based court reporting agency. In 2002 Robert decided to leave the City of San Diego internship to pursue a full time legal videographer position that was created at the court reporting agency. Throughout the next 4 years Robert would grow into the role of a lead videographer. This meant shooting deposition up and down the California coast and also included several international depositions.
In 2006 Robert was promoted to Regional Video Manager where he helped this San Diego based agency’s video department merge with other agencies which eventually become part of a nationwide court reporting agency. In 2007 Robert spearheaded the western United States portion of this merger while ensuring his video department stayed operational and maintained profitability. Robert would continue in the role of Western Regional Video Department Manager at the national agency for the next 4 years ensuring consistent growth and adaptability to the changing technology landscape in the legal video arena. In January 2012 Robert joined the Visual Discovery family with a vision of duplicating VDI’s southern California success into other key markets.
Robert’s wife Laura is also a legal videographer on a part time basis and together they are raising their son Robert Matthew who was born in May of 2011.
